Marcy, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team made their last regular season road trip of the 2019 season on Wednesday evening losing a one sided 75-41 decision to the host Wildcats of SUNY Polytechnic Institute in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 12-12 overall on the year with a 6-9 record in conference action while the Wildcats move to 19-5 overall with a 14-1 record in NEAC action.
The Fighting Tiger offense mirrored the upstate New York weather which extremely was cold as the Orange & Black shot a frigid 14-for-58, 24.1%, from the field missing all 12 of their three-point field goal attempts while hitting on only 13-of-23, 56.5%, of their free throw attempts on the evening. Junior center
Stacey Sprague, Grand Gorge, N.Y., Roxbury High School, netted a team high 13 points and grabbed six rebounds on the evening while freshman forward,
Kristena Westerfeld, Margaretville, N.Y., Margaretville High School, scored 11 points to go with four rebounds.
Cobleskill will conclude the regular season on Saturday February 16
th when they host the Wildcats from Cazenovia College in NEAC action with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
