Troy, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's baseball team dropped a 7-0 decision to the host Engineers of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) on Wednesday afternoon at RPI's Robinson Field in non-conference play. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 1-4 overall while RPI improves to 3-3 overall on the year to date with the win.

Once again the Fighting Tiger defense proved suspect as four Cobleskill errors led to five unearned runs making a loser out of sophomore pitcher Devin Lewis, Cobleskill, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, who went four innings allowing 2 unearned runs on four hits striking our one and walking one to fall to 0-1 overall on the season despite an earned run average (ERA) of 1.86 in nine innings of work to date.

Offensively the Orange & Black managed only one hit on the afternoon as freshman second baseman Joseph Ciatto, Patterson, N.Y., Carmel High School, who pulled a single to left in the sixth inning to go 1-4 on the day.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday March 16 when they travel to New Rochelle, N.Y. for a doubleheader versus the College of New Rochelle to be played at Flowers Park beginning at 12:00 p.m.
