Reading, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's softball team ended their season on Saturday at the 2019 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Tournament hosted by Penn State Berks at the Nittany Lions Heinz Field. The Fighting Tigers lost a 4-0 decision to the Wildcats of Penn College in the elimination round by a score of 4-0. With the defeat Cobleskill ends its season with a 15-16 overall record on the season while the Wildcats improved to 24-14 overall and advanced to meet the top seeded Penn State Berks Nittany Lions for the league title and NCAA Division III Tournament bid.
Once again Wildcat pitching proved to be formidable as Penn College sophomore hurler Morgan Heritage, New Castle, Del., Hodgson Vocational High School, limited the Fighting Tiger offense to one single, a hit batter and a pair of walks on the afternoon.
Junior second baseman
Quesha Sells, Cobleskill, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, had the lone hit for the Fighting Tigers in the game going 1-for-3 at the plate.
