Rochester, N.Y. Facing what could be their most difficult competition of the year, the SUNY Cobleskill men's cross country team posted a team score of 379 points to place 14
th overall in a 20-team field at the 2019 Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday. The race field featured: three NCAA Division I programs, a pair of NCAA Division II programs and five NCAA Division III teams that should be appearing in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region rankings and the NCAA Division III National rankings.
Sophomore
Dillon VanDemortel, Newark, N.Y., Newark High School, was the team's top placer finishing 10
th overall in the 229 runner field by covering the 8000-meter course in a time of 26:20.3 followed by his sophomore running partner
Jared Craw, Colonie, N.Y., Colonie High School/Hudson Valley Community College, who finished in 69
th place with a time of 27:51.9.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday September 21
st when they travel to Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. to compete at the 2019 Fred Pavlich Invitational hosted by Bard College the Raptors home course beginning at 11:00 a.m.
