Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team limped into action on Wednesday evening versus the Mustangs of Morrisville State finding themselves of the wrong side of a 95-74 score in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 9-12 overall including a 4-8 record in league play while the Mustangs move to 14-7 with a 10-2 conference record.
Down to only eight semi-healthy bodies due to injuries and illness the Fighting Tigers struggled with the constant defensive pressure and traps employed by the visitors which accounted for 30 Cobleskill turnovers leading to 36 Mustang points were too much for the home team to overcome.
Senior center
Gabby Muraczewski, Hamilton Square, N.J., Southern Regional High School, posted a double/double with 21 points and 17 rebounds as did freshman forward
Anna Post, Bovina Center, N.Y., Delaware Academy, who scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on the evening.
Cobleskill will return to action on Saturday February 15
th when they travel to Reading, Pa. to face the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks with tip-off set for 3:00 p.m.
