Cazenovia, N.Y.: In a game that could have significant North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play-off consequences the SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball team lost to the host Wildcats of Cazenovia College by a score of 78-56 on Wednesday evening. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers are now 14-9 overall with an 8-6 record in conference play while the Wildcats move to 9-14 overall including a 7-7 record versus NEAC opponents.
Using their home court advantage, the Wildcats held a 44-31 lead at the break as the hot shooting home team connected on 16-of-30, 53.3%, from the floor including 7-of-14, 50.0%, from three point range while in the second half the Cobleskill offense proved as cold as the Wildcats were warm as the Fighting Tigers went only 7-for-31 from the field, 22.6%, including only 4-of-16, 25.0%, in the stanza.
