Cazenovia, N.Y.: With the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Western Division Play-offs around the corner, the SUNY Cobleskill took to the road on Saturday afternoon to lose a hard-fought decision to the host Wildcats of Cazenovia College 1-0 in league action. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 4-11 overall including a 3-6 mark in NAC action while the Wildcats are now 8-6-1 overall with a 3-2 record in league play.
With the game tied at 0-0 in the 88
th minute Wildcat first-year midfielder Saad Saidaden, Syracuse, N.Y., Henninger High School, blasted home the game winner on miss by first-year midfielder Joaquin Romero, San Antonio, Texas, Winston Churchill High School, to decide the issue.
Cobleskill will now wait for the NAC to announce post-season divisional seedings and game times for the leagues' championship tournament which is scheduled to begin next weekend at the regular season divisional winners' home fields.
The Fighting Tigers are next tentatively scheduled to be in action on Tuesday October 26 when the host the Bears of SUNY Potsdam in non-league action beginning at 3:00 p.m.
