Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's cross country team returned to action on Saturday afternoon posting their fourth invitational victory of the season at the 13
th Annual MSMC Knights Invitational hosted by Mount Saint Mary's College at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome. The Fighting Tigers, who are currently ranked eighth in the latest overall in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division III Niagara Region Poll, recorded a team total of 25 points to outdistance a field of 15 teams at the event.
Cobleskill was once again led by freshman
Eamonn Sullivan, Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Fordham Preparatory School, who defeated the field of 74 runners by completing the soggy 8000-meter loop in a time of 26:41.7. The victory was the Wappinger Falls native's fourth invitational win of the campaign to date.
The Fighting Tigers' scoring was rounded out by senior
Dillon VanDemortel, Newark, N.Y., Newark High School, who placed third overall inĀ 27:18.3, Ā sophomore
Nick Logan, Queensbury, N.Y., Queensbury High School, who finished in fourth place with a time of 27:24.6,Ā senior
Jared Craw, Colonie, N.Y., Colonie High School/Hudson Valley Community College, who placed seventh in 28:27.6 and freshman
Shane Viscosi, Fultonville, N.Y., Fonda-Fultonville High School, who rounded out the team scoring by placing 11
th overall in 29:24.6.
The Orange & Black will next be in action on Saturday October 16 when they travel to Springfield, Mass for the 2021 Western New England Invitational hosted by Western New England College at the Golden Bears' campus cross country course beginning at 11:00 a.m.
