Troy, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team returned to the court on Thursday evening to drop a 62-56 decision to the host Gators of Russell Sage College in non-conference action. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers fall to 3-5 overall on the season while the Gators move to 4-3 overall on campaign.
After trailing 34-28 at the half, Cobleskill rallied in the third quarter to tie the contest at 45-45 going into the final frame. However, the Gators used 27 offensive rebounds and 22-of-34 made free throws on the evening, as compared to the visitors 10-of-19 from the charity stripe, to put the game away down the stretch and secure the victory.

Annie Canales, North Adams, Mass., Hoosac Valley High School, led the team in scoring with 18 points to go with five rebounds while sophomore guard
Taylor Meacham, Berne, N.Y., Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School, added nine points, six rebounds and two assists on the night. First-year forward
Hannah Cater, Schoharie, N.Y., Schoharie High School, was also a factor in the game with eight points and six rebounds.
Cobleskill will next be in action when they travel to Delhi, N.Y. on Saturday to face the Broncos of SUNY Delhi in the team's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
