Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team
opened their long-delayed season on Sunday by dropping a pair of matches to the Broncos of SUNY Delhi in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action the losing the first match 3-2 by set scores of 11-25, 25-15, 15-25, 25-20 and 6-15 then then falling in the second match 3-0 by set scores of 25-21, 25-19 and 25-22. With the losses, the Fighting Tigers open the year at 0-2 overall and in league action while the Broncos are now 2-0 overall and in league play on the year.

Maleigha Ellithorpe, Cazenovia, N.Y. Cazenovia High School/Onondaga Community College, turned in an impressive effort for the Orange & Black in the first game
with 30 assists, 11 digs and a service ace while freshman opposite side hitter
Kelley Miller, Fort Mill, S.C., Fort Mill High School, posted a team high of nine kills to go with 12 digs and two assists.
In the second match, freshman outside hitter
Abigail Scheurich, Oxford, Conn., Nonnewaug High School, turned in a strong performance with six kills, four service aces and 14 digs for the home team. Â Â
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday April 3 when they host the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton for a pair of NAC contests beginning at 12:00 p.m. Due to pandemic restrictions no spectators will be allowed at any Fighting Tiger home contests. Â
