Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's cross country team put on an impressive display of pack running on Saturday as the Fighting Tigers posted a team total of 16 points to out-pace a field of 10Ā teams at the 2021 Steven A. Warde Invitational hosted by the Fighting Tigers on their home course on Saturday afternoon. The team's victory was their second invitational victory of the year to date.
The Fighting Tigers were once again led by first-year performer
Eamonn Sullivan, Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Fordham Preparatory School, who bettered the 56-runner field by completing the 8000-meter loop in a course record time of 26:09.83. Sullivan was followed by his roommate sophomore
Nick Logan, Queensbury, N.Y., Queensbury High School, who placed second overall in a time of 26:33.49 and by senior
Dillon VanDemortel, Newark, N.Y., Newark High School, who placed third with a time of 26:44.64.
The team's scoring was rounded out by first-year runner
Shane Viscosi, Fultonville, N.Y., Fonda-Fultonville High School, in fourth place in a time of 27:17.37 and senior
Jared Craw, Colonie, N.Y., Colonie High School/Hudson Valley Community College, who placed sixth with a time of 27:52.71. Junior
Tucker Skowyra, Hardwick, Mass., Quabbin Regional High School, was also a factor in the meet for the Orange & Black finishing in 10
th place in a time of 29:41.89.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday September 18 when they travel to Marcy, N.Y. to compete in the 2021 Wildcat Invitational hosted by the SUNY Polytechnic Institute at their campus cross country course beginning at 10:00 a.m.
