Marcy, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's cross country team ran away from a six-team field at the 2021 Wildcat Invitational hosted by SUNY Polytechnic Institute on the Wildcats home campus course on Saturday. The Fighting Tigers posted a team total of 19 points to outdistance the field and claim their third consecutive invitational win of the season,
Cobleskill was once again led by first-year performer Eamonn Sullivan, Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Fordham Preparatory School, who defeated the 55-runner field at the event by completing the 8000-meter loop in a time of 26:29.20. Sullivan was followed by senior Dillon VanDemortel, Newark, N.Y., Newark High School, who placed second overall with a time of 26:45.70 and by sophomore Nick Logan, Queensbury, N.Y., Queensbury High School, who placed third in a time of 26:59.70.
The team's scoring was completed by first-year runner
Shane Viscosi, Fultonville, N.Y., Fonda-Fultonville High School, in sixth place with a time of 28:33.10 and senior
Jared Craw, Colonie, N.Y., Colonie High School/Hudson Valley Community College, who placed seventh with a time of 28:38.70.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday October 2 when they travel to the 40
th annual Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational hosted by SUNY Geneseo at the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo, N.Y. beginning at 11:00 p.m.
