Albany, N.Y.: Bitten hard by the injury bug over the weekend, a short-handed SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team put up an inspired effort but dropped a 2-0 decision to the host Gators of Russell Sage College in non-conference action in a game played on the turf at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on Wednesday evening. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 0-13-2 overall on the season while the Gators improve to 6-4-2 overall on the year.

Senior goalkeeper John Gergen, Greenville, N.Y., Greenville High School, recorded seven saves on the evening as Russell Sage took 18 shots along with eight corner kicks on the evening.

Cobleskill will next be in action on Sunday October 16 when they travel to Johnson, Vt. for a meeting with the Badgers of Northern Vermont University-Johnson with kick-off at 1:00 p.m.
