Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team dropped a hard-fought decision on Monday evening to the visiting Gators of Russell Sage College by a 73-70 margin in non-conference action. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 3-4 overall on the season to date while the Gators improve to 4-1 on the season.
After trailing the Gators 44-37 at the half, Cobleskill tied the contest at 70-70 with 2:33 remaining in regulation on a pair of free throws by first-year guard

Sage responded on the next possession with a three-pointer from sophomore guard Lauren Sanderson, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, to give the visitors a 73-70 advantage with 2:17 left to play.
From there until the final horn neither team could score as the Gators failed to convert on three shots from the field and five free throw opportunities with Cobleskill missing on four field goal attempts down the stretch.

Taylor Meacham, Berne, N.Y., Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School, keyed the Fighting Tigers comeback posting a career high of 24 points to go with six rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals while
Talia Washington had 10 points and four assists.
The Orange & Black also received strong efforts from senior center/forward
Sierra Delaney, Ballston Spa, N.Y., Ballston Spa High School, off the bench with nine points, six rebounds and a blocked shot, senior center
Jordan Finch, East Meredith, N.Y., South Kortright High School, with eight points, seven rebounds and two assists and from first-year guard/forward
Audriana Hollister, Mooers Forks, N.Y., Northeast Clinton High School, who scored nine points in a reserve role.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Wednesday November 30 when they travel to Dallas, Pa. for a non-conference contest versus the Cougars of Misericordia University with tip-off at 7:00 p.m.
