Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's swimming & diving team has been ranked tied for third in the North Atlantic Conference's (NAC) 2021 Women's Pre-Championship Meet Coaches Poll among the five teams entered in the field by the league's coaches. The NAC will conduct the league's 2021 Championship Meet on Saturday February 5 and Sunday February 6 hosted by Husson University at the Eagles' Weber Pool at the college's William P. Newman Athletic Facility in Bangor, Maine.
Under the direction of Head Coach
Mary Irving, the Fighting Tigers posted a 3-4 record versus head-to-head competition during the regular season with a roster that featured six first-year team members. First-year team members
Claire Knowlton, Gouverneur, N.Y., Gouverneur High School, and fellow rookie
Gabriela Bochen, Brooklyn, N.Y., High School of Telecommunication Arts & Technology, have both show exceptional progress throughout the season.
According to Coach Irving, "Our women have dedicated themselves this season and will put everything they have in the water this weekend. They have come a long way this season and I look forward to seeing them thrive at Championships."
This will be Cobleskill's first appearance at the NAC Championship Meet since joining the league in 2020 after the 2020-21season was canceled due to concerns over the Covid pandemic.
