Davenport, Florida: The SUNY Cobleskill baseball team continued their Florida spring break trip on Tuesday losing to the Bantams of Trinity College of Connecticut by a 11-4 margin at the RussMatt College Invitational. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 6-6 overall on the season to date while Trinity is now 4-3 overall on the year.
The Bantams used a five-run second inning to move out to an 8-2 advantage after six innings to cruise to the victory as the Cobleskill offense was limited to only four hits on the day.
Senior first baseman
Samuel Gutierrez, Bayside, N.Y., Martin Van Buren High School/Queensborough Community College, provided the team's most impressive highlight of the day blasting his second home run of the year as part of a 2-for-4 day at the plate.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Wednesday March 23 when they meet the Continentals of Hamilton College for a pair of games beginning at 2:00 p.m.
