Cobleskill, N.Y.: After suffering through a number of weather-related delays the SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team returned to action on Wednesday afternoon losing to the visiting Kangaroos of SUNY Canton 23-9 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers are currently 3-7 overall including a 1-5 record in NAC action while the Kangaroos move to 8-6 overall with a NAC record of 6-2.
The Kangaroos jumped out to an 11-3 halftime lead and never looked back as the visitors held a 55-39 advantage in shots while forcing 23 Cobleskill turnovers on the afternoon.
The Fighting Tigers received two goal efforts from senior midfielder
Jake Giess, Victor, N.Y., Victor High School/Finger Lakes Community College, sophomore midfielder
Sean D'Amaro, Northport, N.Y., and from sophomore attackman
Aaron Brooks, Geneva, N.Y., Geneva High School.
The Fighting Tigers will close the 2022 season at home on Wednesday April 27 when they host the Wildcats of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute for a NAC contest with face-off at 4:00 p.m.
