Bangor, Me.: The SUNY Cobleskill softball team saw their 2022 season end on Saturday afternoon at the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship Tournament hosted by Husson University at the Eagles Robert & Francis O'Keefe Softball Field. The Fighting Tigers lost to the top seeded host Eagles in their opening game of the day 6-3 then fell to the number three seeded Terriers of Thomas College in their second game of the day by a 6-4 margin. With the losses the Fighting Tigers close out the season with a 15-15 overall record.
In the opener the Eagles broke open a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fourth inning scoring four runs on a pair of wild pitches to extend the inning. Husson then scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth to extend their lead to 6-0.
The Fighting Tigers rallied for three runs in their half of the seventh inning on the strength of a run scoring double off the bat of sophomore first baseman
Alexis Miranda, Nashua, N.Y., Nashua High School, who went 1-for-2 with a walk, a double, a stolen base, a run scored and an RBI in the contest.
In the second game Cobleskill moved out to an early 2-0 lead going into the top of the third inning when the Terriers struck for five runs to take a 5-2 advantage which they never relinquished despite several potential Fighting Tiger rallies.

Alexis Miranda continued her hot hitting going 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBI. Senior shortstop
Maya Davies, Binghamton, N.Y., Chenango Valley High School/Onondaga Community College, turned in a solid effort at the plate going 1-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI with senior left fielder
Alyssa Villielm, Rifton, N.Y., Kington High School, going 1-for-3 with a walk and a double from the lead-off spot.
