Fighting Tiger Women's Soccer Falls to Purchase College Panthers 7-1

Shealin Stevens Scores Fighting Tigers Lone Goal in 7-1 loss to Purchase Panthers


Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer returned home on Saturday to drop a 7-1 decision to the visiting Panthers of Purchase College at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex. With the non-conference loss, the Fighting Tigers are now 1-2 overall on the year while the Panthers improve to 2-0 overall.

The Fighting Tigers received their lone goal of the afternoon from first-year midfielder Shealinn Stevens, Otego, N.Y., Otego High School, off a pass from first-year forward Ashlynn DeRonda, Saugerties, N.Y., Saugerties High School.

Cobleskill will return to action on Tuesday September 13 versus the Trailblazers of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) with kick-off at 4:00 p.m.
