New London, Conn.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday at a triangular match hosted by the Mitchell College Mariners in New London, Conn. The Fighting Tigers lost to the Rams of Suffolk University 3-0 by set scores of 25-20, 25-13 and 25-15 and to the host Mariners 3-0 by scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 26-24 at the match. With the losses Cobleskill falls to 1-5 overall on the year.
Against the Rams, junior outside hitter
Abigail Scheurich, Oxford, Conn., Nonnewaug High School, celebrated her return to her home state with a 10-kill effort while junior outside hitter Mackenzie Larson, Winterset, Iowa, Winterset High School, had nine kills and 14 digs. Junior middle hitter
Alexis Miranda, Nashua, N.H., Nashua North High School, chipped in a team high of 11 kills in the loss.
In the game versus the host Mariners, Mackenzie Larson had nine kills and 14 digs to go with a service ace.

Abigail Scheurich were also a factor in the game as Miranda put down 11 kills with Scheurich chipping in 10 kills.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Wednesday September 14 when they travel to Troy, N.Y. to meet the Gators of Russell Sage College for a non-league contest with first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
