Bethlehem, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball opened the 2022 season over the weekend winning one-of-three matches at the Greyhound Premiere Invitational defeating the Bearcats of Baruch College in the opener 3-1 by set scores of 25-14, 23-25, 25-13 and 25-22, then losing to the host Greyhounds of Moravian University 3-0 by scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-22 then closing the event by losing to the Comets of Olivet College 3-0 by scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 25-9 to open the year with a 1-2 overall record.

Leading the way for the Fighting Tigers was junior outside hitter MacKenzie Larson, Winterset, Iowa, who was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 3.20 kills, 2.8 digs, 3.85 points and 0.5 blocks per set in 10 sets played at the event.
Cobleskill also received strong efforts from junior middle hitter Alexis Miranda, Nashua, N.H., Nashua North High School, 2.0 kills, 2.45 points and 0.7 blocks per contest and first-year setter Jade Ward, Miami, Fla., Felix Varela High School, who 4.0 assists and 1.1 digs per set.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Wednesday September 7 when the host Utica College in their home opener with first serve at 7:00 p.m.
