Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team returned to North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Wednesday afternoon dropping a 6-1 decision to the visiting Broncos of SUNY Delhi at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 4-8-2 overall including a 2-5 record in NAC play while the Broncos move to 9-2-4 overall with a 5-1-2 conference record.
Bronco first-year forward Roberto Velasquez-Osorio, Monticello, N.Y., Monticello High School, scored three goals in the first half to give the visitors a 3-0 lead at the half and effectively decide the issue.
The lone Fighting Tiger goal came in the 89
th minute when first-year forward
Declan McCracken, South Kortright, South Kortright High School, scored off a pass from senior forward Amadou Bah, Bronx, N.Y., Theodore Roosevelt High School/Monroe College.
Cobleskill will close out their conference and home seasons on Saturday October 21 when they host the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton with kick-off scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
