Canton, NY: The Cobleskill men's basketball team had four players score in double figures as they pick up the 83-66 conference road win over SUNY Canton. The Fighting Tigers improve to 6-5 on the season and 2-1 in the conference while the Kangaroos of Canton fall to 4-7 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Kobe Long (Rochester, NY/McQuaid Jesuit) led the Tigers with a game-high 20 points on 3-5 shooting and a perfect 12-12 from the line. Senior
Andre Starks (Brooklyn, NY/Adams Street Academy) added 16 points and six rebounds while sophomore
Jeremy Rosario (Colonie, NY) collected his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Iziah Pigott (Brooklyn, NY/Adams Street Academy) finished with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists. Big man
Markel Jenkins (Elmira, NY/Elmira) rejoined the starting lineup after missing a game due to injury and scored nine points on 4-5 shooting and racked up four rebounds.
Cobleskill jumped out to an early 16-5 lead over Canton after Pigott connected on his first three-pointer of the night. A Rosario layup pushed their lead to 13 points, 31-18, with 6:12 left in the half. The Fighting Tigers defense gave Canton everything they could handle and smothered their offense for most of the half. In the final four minutes of the half, Starks scored seven straight points for Cobleskill and pushed their lead to 38-20 after making a pair of free throws. Cobleskill led 40-25 at the half.
At the half, Starks led the Tigers with 12 points (4-9 FG%) while Long added nine points and
Jermaine Wheeler (Manhattan, NY/Marist) was a force in the paint grabbing five rebounds. For Canton, Moe Biao led the Roos with eight points.
Cobleskill wasted no time and relied on their athleticism and transition offense to push their lead back up to 16 points, 46-32, with 17:41 to play. Canton wouldn't go away quietly and closed the lead to only nine points, 65-56, with 7:44 to play after they went on a 7-0 run. Cobleskill went on the offensive and scored their next 15 points from free throw line going a perfect 15-15 to close out the game and put it to bed. The final score was 83-66.
The Fighting Tigers shot 40.0 percentage from the field and an impressive 27-32 from the line. The Fighting Tigers dominated the glass winning the rebound battle 46-33 and second chance points 20-5 over Canton. The Fighting Tigers bench played a major role in the win scoring 31 points for Cobleskill. Their defense also punished the Roos with 18 points off turnovers.

th, as they travel to VTSU-Johnson for a NAC battle starting at 1:00 p.m.
