Marcy, N.Y.: In a game that may have major implications on the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Western Division Play-offs, the SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team lost a 58-52 road decision to the host Wildcats of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute on Friday evening. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers are currently 12-9 overall including a 8-3 record in league action while the Wildcats move to 11-11 overall with a 9-3 mark versus league opponents.
The contest was a tale of to halves as Cobleskill took a 25-20 lead into the locker room at the break before the Wildcats took advantage of a cold shooting Fighting Tiger third quarter to take the lead at 38-35.
The fourth quarter saw the Fighting Tiger defense hold the Wildcats to only 3-of-18 from the field, 16.7%, however the home team dominated at the charity stripe in the quarter connecting on 13-of-16 attempts to secure the hard-fought win in the defensive battle.

Hannah Cater, Schoharie, N.Y., Schoharie High School, came off the bench to score a team high of 13 points to go with five rebounds three steals and a blocked shot while sophomore guard
Annie Canales, North Adams, Mass., Hoosac Valley High School, scored 12 points and passed out three assists. First-year forward/center
Emily Satterday, Latham, N.Y., Shaker High School, was also a factor in the game grabbing a contest high of 17 rebounds to go with eight points and a blocked shot.
The Fighting Tigers will close out their weekend conference road trip on Saturday February 4 when they travel to Cazenovia, N.Y. for a league meeting versus the Wildcats of Cazenovia College with tip-off at 1:00 p.m.
