Auburndale, Fla.: The SUNY Cobleskill baseball team closed their spring break trip at the 2023 Russ Matt Invitational Tournament losing a pair of games to the Mammoths of Amherst College by scores of 15-9 and 2-1. With the losses the Fighting Tigers close the tournament at 4-7 overall on the season while the Mammoths improve to 5-1-1 on the campaign.
In the opener Amherst jumped out to a 9-0 after two innings which they extended to 15-2 after six innings before the Fighting Tigers rallied for seven runs in the top of the seventh for the 15-9 final score.

David Flora, Windsor, N.Y., Windsor High School/Herkimer Community College, went 1-for-2 on the day with three RBI and a run scored for Cobleskill while senior third baseman
Frank Leger, Bronx, N.Y., All Hallows High School, 1-3 with a pair of RBI.
In the nightcap Cobleskill jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning when sophomore centerfielder
Zach Ducorsky, Oceanside, N.Y., Oceanside Senior High School, stole home as part of a double steal with sophomore left fielder
Trevor Grieb, Red Hook, N.Y., Red Hook High School.
The Fighting Tigers held that lead until the top of the sixth when Amherst struck for two runs to make it 2-1 and give the Mammoths the victory.
Cobleskill will return to action on Tuesday March 21 when they travel to Cortland, N.Y. for a non-league meeting with the Red Dragons of SUNY Cortland beginning at 3:00 p.m.
