Buffalo, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team returned to action on Wednesday afternoon taking to the road to brave winter like elements and post a 7-3 victory over the host Mavericks of Medaille University at the Medaille Sports Complex at Buffalo Color Park in non-league action. With the victory the Fighting Tigers improve to 3-1 overall on the year while the Mavericks fall to 1-5 overall.

Sean D'Amaro, Northport, N.Y., Northport High School, found the back of the Mavericks' net three times and caused a pair of turnovers on defense while Cobleskill outshot their hosts 17-to-8 in the half.
In the second half with the heavy snow squalls coming off Lake Erie and the Medaille Sports Complex turf turning white with accumulating snow, the Cobleskill defense limited to Mavericks to two goals in the half holding the home team to only 10 shots down the stretch.

Aaron Brooks, Geneva, N.Y., Geneva High School/Finger Lakes Community College, scoring twice. Senior midfielder William Brockhaus, Southampton, N.Y., Southampton High School, was also a factor in the win with a goal and an assist.
Sophomore goalkeeper
John Williams, Smyrna, Del., Smyrna High School, recorded the win in net recording seven saves on the day.
The Orange & Black will next be in action when they head north to open their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) season traveling to Bangor, Maine on Friday March 31 to meet the Eagles of Husson University with face-off beginning at 7:00 p.m. followed by a NAC meeting with the Mariners of the Maine Maritime Academy on Sunday April 2 in Castine, Maine beginning at 12:00 p.m.
