Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill softball team closed out the home portion of their schedule on Tuesday afternoon splitting a pair of games versus North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Western Division rival SUNY Delhi at Fighting Tiger Park winning the opening game, which was a NAC contest, by a 7-3 margin then dropping the nightcap, which was a non-league game, to the visitors 5-1. With the split the Fighting Tigers move to 11-19 overall on the year with a 6-3 record in NAC play while the Broncos are now 4-31 overall with a 0-9 mark in league action.
The Fighting Tigers took the first game by pounding out 12 hits and capitalizing on a pair of Bronco defensive miscues which led to a three-run innings in the third and fifth to secure the victory.
The Cobleskill offense received strong showings from senior shortstop
EmmaRae Easton, Coudersport, Pa., Coudersport High School, who went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI, junior first baseman
Alexis Miranda, Nashua, N.H., Nashua North High School, who was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI and from sophomore designated player
Olivia DeMott, Sidney, N.Y., Sidney High School, who was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. First-year second baseman
EmmaGrace Scilippi, Williamson, N.Y., Williamson Central High School, was also a factor at the plate going 3-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.
Senior right-hander
Marissa Wheeler, Kinderhook, N.Y., Ichabod Crane High School, notched the win for Cobleskill going the full seven innings allowing three earned runs on 10 hits while recording six strikeouts.
The second game saw the Broncos score four runs in the top of the sixth inning to take a 5-0 lead from which they never looked back from as sophomore pitcher Katelyn Rose, Hyde Park, N.Y., Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, held Cobleskill to only three-hits and one seventh inning run.

Cobleskill will next be in action on Friday April 28 when they travel to Cazenovia, N.Y. for a NAC Western Division contest versus the Wildcats of Cazenovia College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
