Brooklyn, NY: The Cobleskill women's basketball team dominated Pratt Institute from start to finish on their way to a 84-28 road win. The Fighting Tigers improve to 16-1 on the season while Pratt Institute fall to 0-10 overall.
Leading the Fighting Tigers was Cara Walker (Phelps, NY/ Midlakes) who posted a near triple-double with 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while shooting 8-12 from the field.
Logan Thayne (Hoosick Falls, NY) turned in another good performance with 13 points and nine rebounds in only 15 minutes of action.
Junior guard
Annie Canales (North Adams, MA/ Hoosac Valley) had a solid day off the bench with 10 points, shooting 50 percent from deep. Sophomore forward
Emily Satterday (Latham, NY/ Shaker) led the Fighting Tigers with 10 rebounds.
Cobleskill raced out to a 16-6 lead over Pratt and never looked back. A three-pointer by
Alyssa Martin (Castleton, NY/ Maple Hill) pushed their lead to 19-8 with 2:06 left in the first quarter. Then it was two made free throws by Canales which gave the Tigers a 23-11 lead at the end of the quarter.
The Fighting Tigers defense fueled a 14-0 run to start the second quarter. A fastbreak layup by Cara Walker pushed their lead to 39-11. Cobleskill used another 12-0 run to extend their lead to 51-13 at the half. They outscored Pratt 28-2 in dominate fashion in the second quarter.
At the half, Walker led the Tigers with 10 points on 5-6 shooting from the field. Canales finished the half with 10 points for Cobleskill.
Cobleskill pushed their lead to 53 points during the third quarter after Martin found an open
Kayleigh Bryant (Schenevus, NY) for a layup. Bryant had back-to-back layups to give Cobleskill a 71-18 lead at the end of the third.
Both teams started the fourth quarter a little slow, but at the 6:38 mark it was a made jumper by Walker, assisted by
Taylor Meacham (Berne, NY/ Berne-Knox-Westerlo), that broke the scoreless stretch.
Alyssa Martin made her second three-pointer of the game to give Cobleskill their largest lead of the day, 61 points, with only 1:07 left in the contest. Cobleskill finished out the road game with an 84-28 win.
The Fighting Tigers shot 43.6 percent from the field and 12-18 from the line. Cobleskill dominated the rebounding battle 64-35 and finished the game with 25 assists. They used their size advantage and outscored Pratt in the paint 58-12.

th, as they host VTSU-Johnson in the Iorio Gymnasium for a NAC divisional contest.
