Waterville, ME — The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has recognized senior guard Taylor Meacham (Berne, NY/BKW) as the NAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for her standout performances last week.

Meacham anchored the Fighting Tigers' defense during a dominant 2-0 stretch that featured non-conference victories over SUNY Oneonta (67-44) and Union College (74-55). Her defensive intensity was instrumental in holding opponents to an average of 49.5 points per game and limiting them to just 28.75% shooting from the field.

In the road win over Oneonta, Meacham's presence was felt across the court as she tallied two steals, nine rebounds, and disrupted passing lanes, leading to altered shots and turnovers. She also added 17 points and two assists while shooting 6-of-11 from the floor. Against Union, Meacham continued to shine defensively, contributing two blocks, two defensive rebounds, five assists, and 12 points, while consistently forcing difficult shots and turnovers.

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Tuesday, December 3, hosting SUNY Delhi at 5:30 p.m. in their NAC season opener at the Iorio Gymnasium.
