Cobleskill, NY: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team maintained its perfect North Atlantic Conference (NAC) record with a resounding 79-49 victory over Lesley University on Saturday afternoon at the Iorio Gymnasium.

Cobleskill (9-2, 2-0 NAC) was paced by Logan Thayne (Hoosick Falls, NY), who notched her tenth double-double of the season with an all-around stat line: 19 points, 16 rebounds, three blocks, three assists, and two steals. She shot 6-of-13 from the field and an efficient 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. Annie Canales (North Adams, Mass/Hoosac Valley) fueled the offense with 15 points, hitting three shots from beyond the arc. Antonia May (Amsterdam, NY) contributed 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two blocks, while Nana Rojas (Greenwich, NY) and Sierra Goodson (Amsterdam, NY) chipped in nine points apiece. Mady Victorin (Menands, NY/Shaker) added seven points and five rebounds to bolster the effort.

Cobleskill demonstrated their strong all-around play, shooting 37.2 percent from the field compared to Lesley's 27.9 percent, while excelling from three-point range with a 40.7 percent success rate to Lesley's 22.7 percent. They also controlled the boards, grabbing 54 rebounds compared to Lesley's 38, and forced 22 turnovers while committing just 11. Cobleskill capitalized with 30 points off turnovers and held a 26-16 edge in points in the paint. The Fighting Tigers had active hands recording 11 steals and six blocks.

The Fighting Tigers jumped to a scorching 11-0 start, with sharp shooting from May and Canales. The first quarter closed on back-to-back three-pointers by Talia Washington (Schenectady, NY) and Thayne, giving Cobleskill a commanding 32-10 lead. Cobleskill's dominance continued in the second quarter, as Canales' step-back three-pointer helped extend the lead to 39-14. A staunch defensive effort held Lesley scoreless for over five minutes, allowing the Fighting Tigers to take a 54-23 halftime lead.

Cobleskill's control extended into the third quarter, where Goodson's three-pointer pushed the lead to 68-33 with 2:32 left. The Fighting Tigers cruised through the fourth quarter to secure the 79-49 win.
