SUNY COBLESKILL BASEBALL DROPS 2-1 DECISION TO EASTERN NAZARENE COLLEGE IN EXTRA INNINGS
 
Schoharie, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill baseball team suffered a heart breaking 2-1 decision in 10 innings to the visiting Lions of Eastern Nazarene College in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action in a game played on the turf at Schoharie High School's Storm Field. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 6-17 overall including a 2-1 NAC record while the Lions are now 5-13-1 overall with a 3-1 mark in conference action.
 
Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the eighth inning when the Fighting Tigers tied the contest on a sacrifice fly by junior second baseman Stephen Tejada, Queens, N.Y., High School for Construction Technologies, to tie the contest at 1-1.
 
However the Lions scored in the top of the 10^th inning to take a 2-1 lead and when a potential  Cobleskill rally in the bottom inning could not push a run across the plate the Lions notched the conference victory.
 
Limited to only two hits on the day the Fighting Tiger offense wasted an impressive outing from senior ace Wyatt Palmer, Camden, N.Y., Camden High School/Cayuga Community College, who went nine innings allowing one earned runs on nine hits striking out six while walking three.
 
Cobleskill is next scheduled, weather permitting to be in action on Tuesday April 16 when they scheduled to host the Gators of Russell Sage College at Fighting Tiger Field with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
