Recore Cruises to Victory at Bronco Classic

Delhi, N.Y. – The SUNY Cobleskill men's cross country team was powered by an impressive individual effort from senior Nik Recore (Peru, N.Y.), who claimed his first win of the season in dominant fashion at the 27th Annual Bronco Classic hosted by SUNY Delhi. Racing on the 5K course at the Delhi College Golf Course, Recore set the pace early and never looked back.

Recore crossed the line in a blazing 16:50.9 — more than 35 seconds ahead of the next finisher — to secure the individual title and lead the Fighting Tigers to a strong overall showing. Senior Jacob Rhinesmith (Somerset, N.J.) continued his steady season with an eighth-place finish in 18:25.1, while junior David Kogan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and junior Michael Jocz (Syracuse, N.Y.) packed well together in 13th and 14th with times of 19:44.0 and 19:45.8, respectively.

Rounding out the Cobleskill lineup, junior Antonio Gonzalez (Niskayuna, N.Y.) took 18th in 21:02.7, followed by sophomore Charles Cooper (Connetquot, N.Y.) in 19th at 21:14.6. Sophomore runners Brayden Lambert (Camden, N.Y.) and first-year Uriel Lopez Navarro (Brewster, N.Y.) closed out the effort in 20th and 21st with respective times of 21:40.5 and 22:05.2.
