Albany, NY: The SUNY Cobleskill men's track and field team turned in a strong showing on Friday at the Bobbi Palma UAlbany Spring Classic, collecting several top-10 finishes and personal bests across a variety of events.

On the track,
Nik Recore (Peru, NY) continued his momentum in the distance events, clocking a personal best of 16:12.79 in the 5000-meter run to place 10th overall. In the hurdles,
Charles Cooper (Connetquot, NY) looked sharp in the 400-meter hurdles, placing seventh in 1:02.93, while
Kameron Cusmano (Oakfield, NY/Oakfield-Alabama) turned in a time of 16.48 in the 110-meter hurdles to finish 12th. In the sprints,
Quinn Service posted a time of 12.09 in the 100-meter dash for 25th, and
Riley Mainville (Leominster, MA) followed in 31st with a 12.62.

In the field events, Cobleskill's throwers led the way.
Cal Marks (Wellsburg, NY/Elmira) launched a hammer throw of 40.88 meters (134-01) to secure third place, while teammate
Mark Temp (Richmondville, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) placed eighth with a mark of 30.60 meters (100-04). Marks also claimed seventh in the discus at 31.68 meters (103-11), with Temp placing ninth at 29.64 meters (97-03). In the shot put,
Xavier Poole (Pine Bush, NY) earned sixth with a throw of 10.60 meters (34-09 ½).

In the javelin,
Brayden Lambert (Camden, NY) hit a new personal best with a 38.61-meter (126-08) throw to take fifth, and
Ryan Carey (Saratoga, NY/Saratoga Springs) followed in seventh at 25.70 meters (84-04).

In the jumps,
Thomas Herberger (Avon, NY) triple-jumped his way to a fifth-place finish with a distance of 12.32 meters (40-05).
Kameron Cusmano cleared 1.81 meters (5-11 ¼) in the high jump to place sixth, and
Allen Simms (Ithaca, NY) leapt 5.76 meters (18-10 ¾) in the long jump for 12th place.
