Cobleskill, NY: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department recently celebrated the induction of the college's 2024–25 Chi Alpha Sigma class, recognizing 17 Fighting Tiger student-athletes for their academic and athletic excellence.
Chi Alpha Sigma is the national college athlete honor society, honoring four-year student-athletes who have completed at least five full-time semesters, attained junior academic status or higher, and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or above.
The induction ceremony was held at the Upper Champlain Hall facility and featured a formal pinning conducted by SUNY Cobleskill Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost Dr. Darcia Medica, Ph.D., and Vice President for Student Development Dr. Ann Hopkins Gross, Ed.D.
Fighting Tiger Athletic Director Marie Curran-Headley shared her admiration for the inductees and reflected on what their success represents.
"Success is not measured by the trophies we collect or the accolades we receive, but by the resilience, discipline, and integrity we show throughout our journey. Our Chi Alpha Sigma inductees are not only champions on the field, but also leaders in the classroom, inspiring excellence through every challenge they encounter. We celebrated not only their achievements, but also their unwavering commitment to greatness, which will shape their future."
