Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department will celebrate its first annual Day of Giving with a 36-hour fundraising event running from Friday, April 10 through Saturday, April 11.
The Day of Giving provides alumni, families, friends, and supporters of Fighting Tiger Athletics an opportunity to directly support SUNY Cobleskill student-athletes by making a gift to a specific team or to the Cobleskill Athletics General Fund. A series of giving challenges will also be held throughout the event, with prizes awarded to teams that meet various fundraising and engagement goals.
Cobleskill Director of Athletics Marie Curran believes the Day of Giving will become an important tradition for the department and the campus community.
"For Cobleskill Athletics, the Day of Giving represents far more than a fundraising initiative - it is a powerful expression of community, pride, and shared investment in the student-athlete experience," said Curran. "Each year, alumni, supporters, families, staff, and friends come together to strengthen the opportunities and resources that shape our teams and our students."
Curran also emphasized the direct impact that contributions can have on the student-athlete experience across all programs.
"The impact is tangible and immediate," she added. "Contributions can enhance equipment, travel, technology, training resources, and competitive opportunities. More importantly, it reinforces the idea that the student-athlete experience matters - that there is a broad network of people invested in their success, both on and off the field."
