Cobleskill Names Morgan Brozena Assistant Athletic Director

Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech Athletic Department has announced the appointment of Morgan Brozena as Assistant Athletic Director.

Brozena joins the Fighting Tigers following a successful coaching and administrative career, most recently serving as the head field hockey coach and Senior Woman Administrator at Kenyon College.

"I am thrilled to welcome Morgan Brozena to the Fighting Tigers family as our new Assistant Athletic Director," said Director of Athletics Marie Curran. "Morgan brings exactly the kind of energy, passion, and professional drive that our department and our student-athletes deserve. From the moment I met Morgan, it was clear this is someone who not only understands the landscape of collegiate athletics but is genuinely invested in making a difference for the people in it. Morgan will take the lead on our compliance operations, and I have every confidence that our programs will be in outstanding hands. The future of Cobleskill Athletics is bright, and Morgan is a big reason why."

"I am incredibly excited to be named as the new Assistant Athletic Director at SUNY Cobleskill," said Brozena. "I want to thank Director of Athletics Marie Curran, VP for Student Development Dr. Anne Hopkins Gross and the entire search committee for this opportunity. I am excited to join the department and support our coaches and student-athletes as Cobleskill prepares to compete as a full member of the SUNYAC this fall."

Brozena arrives at Cobleskill after four successful seasons leading the Kenyon College field hockey program. During her tenure, she guided the Owls to a 43-26 overall record, including a 23-13 mark in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play. Under her leadership, Kenyon earned two postseason appearances and produced numerous All-NCAC selections.

In her first season with the program in 2021, the Owls posted a 13-5 overall record, captured the NCAC regular-season championship with a 7-1 conference mark, and placed five student-athletes on the All-NCAC Team. She also led the program to a postseason appearance in 2023 after compiling a 10-8 overall record.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Brozena was named Senior Woman Administrator at Kenyon in 2024. In that role, she served as a member of the institution's Title IX Committee and National Girls and Women in Sports Day planning team while acting as a resource for women coaches and student-athletes.

Prior to Kenyon, Brozena served as head coach at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Before taking over the Falcons program, she spent three seasons at the University of New Haven, first as a graduate assistant before being promoted to assistant coach. During her time with the Chargers, she helped launch the program during its inaugural varsity season.

A native of Telford, Pennsylvania, Brozena was a standout goalkeeper at Washington & Jefferson College. A three-year starter, she appeared in 46 career contests, compiling a 25-18 record, 12 shutouts, and 219 saves, ranking second in program history. Following her collegiate playing career, she began coaching as an assistant at Wittenberg University and has also worked with HTC Field Hockey Club in Connecticut and High Styx Field Hockey Club in Pennsylvania.

Brozena earned bachelor's degrees in French and International Studies from Washington & Jefferson College and later completed a master's degree in Sports Management from the University of New Haven.

As Assistant Athletic Director, Brozena will oversee compliance operations while supporting the department's day-to-day administration and working closely with coaches, staff, and student-athletes as SUNY Cobleskill enters its first year of full membership in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
