Lexington, MA – The Fighting Tigers women's soccer team fell 5-0 to Lesley University on Sunday afternoon in a North Atlantic Conference matchup at Minuteman High School.

Alexa Siegel (Cornwall, NY) registered Cobleskill's only shot of the afternoon. In net, first-year goalkeeper Samantha Fausti (Clayton, WA) had a busy 90 minutes, facing 21 shots and recording 16 saves.

Lesley controlled the game statistically, outshooting the Tigers 47-1 while holding a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.

Both teams battled early, but the Lynx found their breakthrough in the 34th minute and struck again in the 37th and 41st minutes to carry a 3-0 advantage into halftime. Cobleskill looked to pull one back before the break, but Lesley's defense kept them off the board.

In the second half, the hosts continued to press and scored twice in quick succession in the 52nd and 54th minutes to extend their lead. The Tigers continued to fight for a late goal, with Siegel nearly breaking through in the final minute, but the effort went just wide as the game ended 5-0.
