Cobleskill, NY – SUNY Cobleskill first-year goalkeeper Sean Hanrahan (Elmira, NY) has been named the Spry State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for the period ending October 11, 2026.

The recognition marks the first SUNYAC weekly honor of Hanrahan's collegiate career and a historic milestone for the Fighting Tigers, as he becomes the first men's soccer player in program history to earn a SUNYAC weekly award.

Hanrahan turned in a strong week between the posts, highlighted by his first collegiate victory and second clean sheet of the season in Cobleskill's 3-0 win over VTSU-Lyndon. The first-year keeper made one save to preserve the shutout before following that performance with a career-high 13 saves against Buffalo State, posting a .813 save percentage in the conference matchup.

Across the two matches, Hanrahan totaled 14 saves, one clean sheet, a .824 save percentage and a 1.50 goals-against average over 180 minutes of action.
