Utica, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the Utica Blue and Orange Multi and Invitational on Saturday, but the Fighting Tigers' day was shortened as the team departed early due to an unexpected facility issue involving an outdoor water main break on Utica University's campus.
Despite leaving before the conclusion of the meet, Cobleskill posted several strong performances across the track and in the field.
On the women's side,
Gabrielle Waite (Pulaski, NY) recorded the top finish of the day for the Tigers, placing fourth overall in the 3,000 meters with a time of 11:26.36, edging out fifth place by just over a second.
In the women's 60-meter hurdles,
Anneliese Klein (Carlisle, NY) led the way with a 16th-place finish after clocking a time of 9.90 seconds.
Trinity Grant (Albany, NY) followed in 20th at 10.12 seconds, while
Allison Merle (Holley, NY) placed 30th with a time of 10.29 seconds.
Finley McArdle (East Aurora, NY) also competed on the track in the 60-meter dash, finishing 57th with a time of 9.60 seconds.
Cobleskill was represented in the women's weight throw by
Adira-Virginia Greer-Padilla (Fallsburg, NY), who placed 18th with a toss of 13.16 meters (43-2¼).
Dory Gosselin (Whitehall, NY) followed with a 28th-place finish at 12.35 meters (40-6¼), while
Sidney Glover (Cincinnatus, NY) placed 45th with a throw of 10.68 meters (35-0½).
On the men's side,
Zachary Russell (Deposit, NY) competed in the 60-meter hurdles and placed 25th overall in the prelims with a time of 9.44 seconds.
Will Mann (Pawling, NY) added a solid effort in the shot put, finishing 12th with a throw of 13.43 meters (44-0¾).
