ONEONTA, N.Y. — The SUNY Cobleskill baseball team fell to Oneonta, 11-7, on Wednesday afternoon at Red Dragon Field. The Tigers totaled seven runs on eight hits, highlighted by a four-run second inning to take an early lead.
Cobleskill jumped out quickly in the second inning, plating four runs to seize momentum early. The Tigers added another run in the third inning to build a 5-1 advantage before Oneonta responded with a big middle-inning surge.
Tony Woodie led the offensive effort with a strong performance, going 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Jake Brazzano matched that production at the plate, finishing 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Ryan Lansing added a key contribution with a hit, two RBIs, a walk, and a run scored.
Additional runs came from Logan Firment, Korin Laurilla, and Aidan Creamer as the Tigers continued to apply pressure throughout the lineup. Cobleskill also added two runs in the ninth inning to close the gap late.
On the mound, Reis Brammer delivered a strong start, allowing just one run over three innings while striking out six. The Tigers' bullpen worked through the middle innings, with Mike Markle providing a solid relief appearance and Greg Mable recording a scoreless outing.
Despite the early lead, Oneonta capitalized in the middle innings to pull ahead, and the Tigers were unable to complete the comeback.
