Tanksley Headlines Cobleskill Men’s Basketball NAC Honors

Waterville, ME – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced its 2025-26 Men's Basketball All-Conference Teams, with the SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball program earning multiple postseason honors as voted on by the league's coaches.

The Fighting Tigers placed one player on the All-NAC teams, highlighted by sophomore combo guard Marquay Tanksley (Cohoes, NY) earning Third Team All-NAC recognition. Junior Cameron Rhode (Elmira, NY) was selected to the NAC Sportsmanship Team, while sophomore Emilio Nabli (Brooklyn, NY) earned All-Tournament Team honors following his standout performances during the conference postseason.

Head coach Justin Maxwell spoke highly of the Tigers' award winners and the impact each had on Cobleskill's season.

Tanksley proved to be Cobleskill's most consistent and impactful player on both ends of the floor, helping lead the Tigers back to the postseason and into the NAC Semifinals. A versatile two-way presence, he led the team in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, and minutes played. Tanksley averaged 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 41.5 percent from the floor, 32 percent from three-point range, and 72 percent from the free throw line in 32.4 minutes per game.

"Marquay was instrumental to our success this year," said Maxwell. "He was a consistent performer all season and gave us a strong defensive presence. He earned All-Conference recognition for his versatility, production, and character, and coaches around the league consistently complimented how well-rounded his game is."

Rhode was recognized for his leadership and sportsmanship, earning a spot on the 2025-26 NAC Men's Basketball Sportsmanship Team. The honor recognizes student-athletes who exemplify integrity, respect, and leadership both on and off the court.

"Cameron represented our program the right way every day," Maxwell said. "He did a lot of the little things that don't always show up in the box score, but they matter. He helped us earn respect across the league and provided steady leadership throughout the year."

Nabli capped his season with an outstanding postseason run, playing a key role in Cobleskill's march to the NAC Semifinals. In the quarterfinal round, he finished with a team-high 18 points while stuffing the stat sheet with five steals, four rebounds, three assists, and a block, connecting on 6-of-14 shooting in 27 minutes. He followed that performance in the semifinal matchup against eventual NAC Champion UMaine-Farmington, once again leading the Tigers in scoring with 13 points to go with two rebounds and two assists.
