Dory Gosselin's record breaking hammer throw

TROY, N.Y. — The SUNY Cobleskill women's track and field team put forth a strong showing at the RPI Under the Lights Invitational, highlighted by a record-breaking performance from senior Dory Gosselin in the hammer throw.

Gosselin etched her name in the Fighting Tigers' record book with a best throw of 40.66 meters (133 feet, 5 inches) in the hammer, breaking the program record while finishing 10th in a competitive field. The senior also turned in a seventh-place finish in the discus with a mark of 38.38 meters (119 feet, 4 inches), demonstrating her consistency and versatility across the throwing events.

Adira-Virginia Greer-Padilla was another standout in the field, earning a 11th-place finish in the discus (32.36m/106-2) and a 12th-place finish in both the shot put (10.71m/35-1¾) and hammer (38.94m/127-9). The sophomore's contributions across multiple throwing events added significant depth to Cobleskill's field performance on the day.

Sidney Glover rounded out the team's top finishers with a 12th-place effort in the javelin, recording a best throw of 22.43 meters (73 feet, 7 inches).

The Fighting Tigers will look to carry this momentum forward as the season continues toward the postseason.
