CORTLAND, N.Y. — The Fighting Tigers competed at the 2026 SUNYAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 1–2 at SUNY Cortland.
Senior distance runner
Nik Recore posted Cobleskill's top men's finish, placing 7th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:53.88. Freshman William Mann turned in a strong performance in the javelin, throwing 46.08 meters for 4th place and five team points.
Sophomore
Zachary Russell added 1 point with an 8th-place javelin throw of 40.66m.
In the hammer throw, seniors
Cal Marks (43.79m, 17th) and
Connor Rinas (43.49m, 18th) and junior
Mark Temp (38.41m, 20th) all competed.
Freshman
Uriel Lopez Navarro began the decathlon, recording a 12.24-second 100m (6th in event) and a 5.41m long jump before not finishing.
The men's 4×400 relay team of
Patrick Ponzo,
David Kogan,
Antonio Gonzalez, and
Zander Fortune rounded out competition with a time of 3:50.09.
