Cobleskill, N.Y. – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced the addition of Madeline Harris as an assistant athletic trainer.

A graduate of Dryden High School, Harris earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Coaching from SUNY Cortland in 2023 before completing her master's degree in Athletic Training at SUNY Cortland in 2026.

"Coming out of high school, I was looking forward to the opportunity to attend Cobleskill and play basketball, but ultimately chose to stay closer to home," said Harris. "Having the opportunity to return to the area and begin my professional career at Cobleskill feels like coming home. Cobleskill has always held a special place in my heart, and I am excited to give our student-athletes the same sense of joy and fulfillment that athletics has given me while helping make their experience here as memorable as possible."

Harris comes to SUNY Cobleskill after gaining collegiate athletic training experience with the Syracuse University men's basketball program during the 2025-26 season. Prior to her time at Syracuse, she worked with the SUNY Cortland men's soccer program in 2025 as an athletic training graduate student.

She also gained experience at the high school level while working with Cortland High School, providing athletic training coverage for girls and boys lacrosse, track and field, basketball and baseball.

In addition to her athletic training background, Harris brings coaching experience to Cobleskill. She served as an assistant coach with the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball program during the 2024-25 season and was the head junior varsity girls basketball coach at Dryden High School from 2022-24.

Harris' primary team responsibilities at SUNY Cobleskill will include women's volleyball, men's basketball and men's lacrosse.
