Clinton, N.Y. – The Fighting Tigers men's cross-country team traveled to Clinton, N.Y., on Saturday to compete in the Hamilton Short Course Invitational, taking on an 11-team field on the 5K course. Cobleskill finished ninth overall with a team score of 277 points.
 
Freshman Aiden Pettit (Corinth, N.Y.) led the Tigers' pack, serving as Cobleskill's top finisher in the 141-runner field. Pettit covered the 5K course in 17:37.7, crossing the line in 60th place overall.
 
Reid Starks-Swotkewicz (Schoharie, N.Y.) was next across the line for the Tigers, running 18:25.7 to finish just under a minute behind Pettit. Starks-Swotkewicz held down the second spot in Cobleskill's scoring lineup as the Tigers worked their way through the field.
 
Senior Michael Jocz (Syracuse, N.Y.) was the Tigers' third scorer, finishing 95th overall in 18:46.9. Sophomore Hunter Johnson followed closely in 18:59.3, keeping the gap within the Tigers' scoring pack under 20 seconds between the third and fourth runners. Senior David Kogan rounded out Cobleskill's scoring five, crossing the finish line in 20:14.9. With all five scorers across the line, the Tigers finished with 277 points in the team standings.
