New London, CT – The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team earned its first win of the season in convincing fashion on Monday afternoon, defeating Mitchell College 4-0 at Mitchell Stadium. The victory marked the Fighting Tigers' first road win since October 8, 2023, and the first career win at Cobleskill for Head Coach Bill Bogue.
Sophomore forward
Alexa Siegel (Cornwall, NY) turned in a career performance, scoring twice while putting three shots on target. First-year forward
Brianna Farrell (Hampton Bays, NY) was active throughout the afternoon and netted the first goal of her collegiate career while finishing with five shots on goal.
Fellow first-year
Kayla Lobycz (Hartwick, NJ) also scored her first collegiate goal, while
Colette Kappauf (Oxford, NY) and
Kayleigh Bryant (Schenevus, NY) each recorded their first assist of the season.

Brooke Lincoln (Maryland, NY) helped secure the Tigers' first clean sheet of the season, limiting Mitchell to just one shot. Sophomore goalkeeper
Sammy Fausti (Clayton, WA) made one save to preserve the shutout.
The Tigers controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting the Mariners 29-1 while holding an 18-1 advantage in shots on goal. Cobleskill also earned a season-high six corner kicks while not allowing Mitchell a single corner.
Siegel opened the scoring in the fifth minute when she pounced on a loose ball inside the box area and tucked her finish into the right corner for a 1-0 lead. Cobleskill doubled its advantage in the 15th minute when Farrell capitalized on a misplayed ball in the box. Her initial effort was saved, but she followed the rebound and put it away for her first collegiate goal.
The Tigers continued to apply pressure and added a third goal in the 24th minute. Kappauf delivered a cross into the box, where Siegel created space with a quick turn before firing her finish into the left corner for her second goal of the match and a 3-0 halftime lead.
Cobleskill remained on the front foot throughout the second half, controlling possession and firing 16 shots. The Tigers capped the scoring in the 80th minute when Lobycz rose to meet Bryant's corner kick and headed home her first collegiate goal to complete the 4-0 road victory.
