Ryan Gunzinger

Head lacrosse coach Ryan Gunzinger will be entering his seventh season at the helm of the SUNY Cobleskill men’s lacrosse program in 2012. Gunzinger is only the eighth head coach in program history and oversaw the Fighting Tigers transition to the four-year level of completion in 2009 after the program had competed for 40 years at the junior college level.

In four years of competing at the NCAA Division III level Gunzinger has had 17 All-Conference players and one Pre-Season All-American Honorable Mention (Inside Lacrosse).  The Fighting Tigers currently compete in the North Eastern Athletic Conference where they have competed in the conference playoffs in two out of their first four years.

Under coach Gunzinger the program has posted a NCAA record of 29-55 overall record including an 11-14 mark in NEAC play.

Gunzinger is a 2000 graduate of West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Management and also serves the college as a Technical Assistant in the SUNY Cobleskill Department of Sport & Exercise.

He and his wife Tonya, a SUNY Cobleskill alumnus and former Fighting Tiger student/athlete, currently reside in the town of Richmondville, N.Y. with their two son’s Matthew and Tyler.
