Liz Neubinski

Fighting Tiger Head Softball Coach Liz Neubinski enters her fourth season at the helm of the program after leading the Orange & Black to a 7-7 overall/North Atlantic Conference record during the Covid impacted 2021 campaign. During her tenure at the college she has posted a 22-24 overall mark.

After taking over the Fighting Tiger women’s softball program in 2019, Neubinski hit the ground running leading the Orange & Black the best post season finish in program history in her first season. They finished the season with a 15-17 overall record including an 11-5 mark in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) and winning the tie-breaker for a first place in the NEAC’s Northern Division Championship with a 6-2 record in divisional action.

Based on their successful campaign, Cobleskill returned to the NEAC Championship Tournament under Neubinski ’s direction for the fifth time in program history and the first time since the 2015 season. In the tournament the Fighting Tigers defeated Keuka College by a 2-1 margin to advance to the championship tournament’s semi-final round for the first time in program history prior to closing the year with a 4-0 loss to Penn College in the conference’s semi-final round.

For the team’s efforts in 2019 five Cobleskill team members earned all-conference honors, which was the most in program history. First Team All-NEAC Team honors were Rachel Hall and Alyssa Villielm, earning Second Team All-NEAC Team status was Jillian Nitchman and Quesha Sells with Edyliese Aquino earning a spot on the conference’s third team.

Also in 2019, The Nation Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recognized five of the team’s members as Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athletes. These honors recognize the academic prowess of intercollegiate softball players across the NFCA's membership categories who have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher for the academic year. Earning honors for the Fighting Tigers were: Gabrielle Danthine, Mackenzie Holbert, Rachel Hall, Edyliese Aquino and Megan Gilligan.

Neubinski came to the Fighting Tigers after spending the past two-seasons as the head coach at The University of the Redlands in Redlands, Calf.; where she guided the Bulldogs to a 31-49 overall record including a 22-34 mark, in the highly competitive Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).

Before The University of the Redlands, she served as the head coach of the Wells College softball program in Aurora, N.Y.   During her time at Wells, she was instrumental in the restoration of the softball program after a year hiatus.  Among her duties, she was involved with the development of the school's first-ever turf field and the recruiting of an incoming softball class of student-athletes to re-establish The Express program.

Prior to her time at Wells College, she spent four years as a full-time assistant coach on the staff at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.   During her time with the Continentals, she also served as the "Interim" Head Coach during a four-month transition in the head-coaching position.  In addition to coaching, she assisted with sports information and photography work

Before her coaching career  Neubinski was four-year softball student-athlete at the University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y., where she started in right-field for a Yellow Jacket team that qualified for two NCAA tournament appearances.  As a freshman,  Neubinski earned University Athletic Association (UAA) Second Team All-Conference honors and later returned from injury to collect Liberty League Second Team All-Conference recognition as a senior.  She also collected Liberty League All-Conference Honorable Mentions in 2008 and 2009.
