Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's swimming & diving team posted a split in a double-dual meet versus the host Raptors of Bard College and the Bison of Bethany College of West Virginia on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Tigers defeated Bard by a score of 163-50 and lost to Bethany by a 114-100 margin.
Individually Cobleskill received a victory in one meter diving where sophomore
Alex Steelman, Ithaca, N.Y., Lansing High School, posted a score of 183.15 points to capture the event.
The Fighting Tigers also received seven second place finishes in individual events on the afternoon highlighted by: freshman
Maia Rumsey, Trumansburg, N.Y., Odessa-Montour High School, who posted runner-up finishes in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 27.64 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 1:03.12 and freshman
Heidi Cortright, Johnson City, N.Y., Johnson City High School, who was second in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:15.61 and the 200-yard freestyle in 2:20.23.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday November 8 when the Fighting Tigers host Sarah Lawrence College and the College of Mount Saint Vincent in double-dual competition at the Bouck Hall Natatorium beginning at 1:00 p.m.
