Oneonta, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball team dropped a 90-52 decision to SUNY Oneonta in the opening round of the Holiday Inn Classic hosted by Hartwick College Hartwick College at the Hawks Lambros Arena on Friday evening. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 1-3 overall on the campaign while the Red Dragons move to 2-0 on the year.

Cobleskill could not overcome a hot start by the Dragons as Oneonta jumped out to an early 15-2 lead and never looked back. The Fighting Tigers defense had few answers for the Oneonta's hot shooting as the designated home team connected on 34-of-59 shots from the field, 57.6%, including 6-of-15, 40.0%, from three-point range.

Freshman swingman Taylor Sanders, Southampton, N.Y., Southampton High School, led the team in scoring with 10 points to go with three rebounds while senior guard Alexis Nunez, White Plains, N.Y., White Plains High School, tallied eight points along with three assists on the night.

The Fighting Tigers will conclude the classic on Saturday afternoon when they face the host Hawks of Hartwick College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
